Itinerary: We meet the sea at Aguda beach and follow the beautiful coast line until we reach Magoito beach.

Hiking | From Praia Grande beach to Roca Cape | Sintra
Length / Duration: 6 km. 3 hours with stops.
Difficulty: Moderate – high, with steep slopes.
Start / finish: Praia Grande beach / Roca Cape.
Itinerary: Trail begins at Praia Grande beach, descends to Ursa beach, ending at the Roca Cape.
There are two difficulty levels: easy between Praia Grande and Adraga beaches; moderate from Adraga onwards. The route passes through deep valleys and dramatic cliffs. Highlight goes to the renowned dinosaur footprints of Praia Grande, carved on sedimentary flagstone from the Cretaceous period. This is a linear circuit, starting and ending at different points.

Start / finish: Intersection of Azóia, Peninha bound.
Itinerary: Circular trail within the Sintra-Cascais Natural Park, on the western side of the Sintra Mountain range. Ideal for less experienced hikers. Highlight for the granite dolmen of Adrenunes, which was probably used as a place of cult or a burial ground.

Itinerary: Hiking tour beginning in the Sintra historical centre, passing through points of interest such as the Moorish Castle, the Pena Palace and Park and the refreshing view from the Penedo da Amizade (“Friendship Rock”). It is a circular tour, with reduced physical and technical demands. Trails are flanked with vegetation and the terrain is moderately flat.

Itinerary: For those who love to hike around the countryside the Mula River dam is the perfect place to start exploring the Sintra mountain range and the surrounding landscape. The trail takes you upwards until Quinta do Pisão, included in the Natura 2000 network, which features a series of trails ideal for ecological interpretation, hiking, cycling and horseback riding.

Itinerary: Ideal for those who love a thrill! Hiking and rappel in the heart of the Arrábida Natural Park. Vertical descent with ropes to about 15 meters into the Fenda da Arrábida (a crack in the mountain). Several climbing techniques are available, depending on the desired level of difficulty. The descent is guided and assisted by experienced speleologists with appropriate technical equipment.
